Alan Halperin is an accomplished Certified Public Accountant. With extensive experience in best practices in accounting and finance, he has recognized that small businesses need an accountant who is both a strategic partner as well as a professional who keeps the business in compliance with current tax and accounting regulations.
He has always had a passion for helping others and has dedicated his focus to supporting small businesses. Business owners are seeking “valued added” partners that will assist in solving the company’s financial challenges including improving profitability and cash flow, optimizing tax benefits, and exploring favorable financing solutions. Many small CPA firms provide compliance services including financial statement compilation and tax preparation but don’t address the strategic issues the small business community faces today. Halperin CPA will address these issues in addition to providing standard accounting services.
Prior to establishing his firm, Alan was a Managing Director and Controller at a global bank and a Senior Vice President at a major investment bank. He started his career at a "Big 8" accounting firm.
Alan holds a Master of Business Administration in accounting & finance from Emory University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester. In addition to his accounting practice, he also serves as an Auxiliary Professor of Accounting at Molloy College in Rockville Centre N.Y.
